If you ask me what ‘TRUE LOVE’ is‚ the second thing I would tell you would be ‘A MOTHER’S LOVE’
It just feels pure and unfiltered‚ they are that one human who probably gets on our nerves the most‚ yet still always in our corner rooting for us. Their sacrifice is second to none.
However‚ there are some important cracks that get ignored‚ and it has mostly come to my observation with the millennial mothers. I am not about to start downplaying whatever struggles you go through but you mothers need to START PAYING ATTENTION TO YOUR KIDS.
I was coming back from work a few days ago‚ I was in a danfo bus going to Oshodi from around Isolo. Anyone who is familiar with Isolo road can tell how UNTARRED‚ BAD and ROUGH that road is‚ the people who live there (no offense…you know what all the offense given‚ y’all have trolled Ikorodu enough)
I was in the public bus yea‚ and there was this little boy sleeping‚ he was moving just as the bus was moving and his head kept hitting the iron chair. This would have been a different story if the mother wasn’t in the bus‚ but she was! And she didn’t see a need to fix her son well until other people in the bus called her attention it.
I get that we are young and we also deserve to live a life without always being a mother. But as “not too much to ask” as it may sound‚ you cannot ignore these little beings‚ they should be a priority
Times when I have similar conversations with my friends‚ I always say there are always two things you should put in mind when you decide to start having sex.
One‚ there is always a 1.5% chance that you could end up pregnant (it’s not voodoo). I am sure that you protect yourself but milady those chances are POSSIBLE
Two‚ I think it is only reasonable that you have sex with someone you can possibly father/mother a child with. Don’t have sex with low lives‚ it is not even fair to you.

In my opinion (until someone comes up with a strong point)‚ STOP HAVING SEX IF YOU ARE GOING TO BE A SHIITY MOTHER.
The other day‚ it was at the NYSC local government during CDS. A little boy probably 3 years of age was crying on the corridor‚ apparently he had missed his mother and we had to start walking this boy around asking who his mother was and she was just there gisting away. How?? How do you stay calm not seeing your child in the same space as you? Do they even notice?
In my mum’s word‚ it is “Babies having Babies”
Well I guess‚ the rest of us would have to be their extra eyes and senses and help them pay attention
So what do we say to the god of carelessness?
Not this child!
What is your take on this?
If you asked me what TRUE LOVE is? What do you think is my first reply?
